I knew Jenna and Jon were going to be a BLAST to photograph. I could just tell from our email exchanges. I met them at their cute little Airbnb in Harpers Ferry to kick off the couple’s photo session. After some couch lounging and pillow fightin’, we walked around the upper portion of town and ended at one of my favorite spots.

Viking LARP couple photos? Count me IN! I am here to make cosplay couples, historical couples, themed couples, offbeat couples (whatever you want to call them) the next “trend” in photography. When Piper mentioned that she and her husband have Viking live action role playing costumes, I basically made them come take photos with me.

“So, how did you two meet?”
“Well, it’s super redneck, but I asked her out over instagram.”
In case you didn’t know, it’s redneck to ask someone out over instagram. 😆 I guess I’m redneck too because I asked Charlie if she wanted to do an engagement session with me at Bears Den Overlook over instagram.
Frederick Maryland Engagement Photos: Sarah and Tyler
Sarah and Tyler met me at Baker Park in Frederick, Maryland on a beautiful summer evening in July. They were my first photoshoot back since the pandemic started, and I was really excited to start photographing couples again.
Baker Park packs a lot of punch in a small space as far as photos are concerned. You have the beautiful bell tower, the awesome stadium, the tunnels under the bridges, and everything was in bloom since it was the height of summer.
Harpers Ferry Engagement Photos: Alyssa and Nick
I met Alyssa and Nick in Harpers Ferry for a really fun engagement shoot. The first thing we did was grab an ice cream cone for them to share. We stopped up at the MARC station, which has a cool old timey vibe, and then headed to the big beautiful church on top of the hill.
After that, we headed over to School House Ridge South, one of my favorite trails, to run around in the fields and play in the old ruins.
These two were so much fun to photograph! I am SUPER excited for their wedding in June at Blackwater Falls State Park.
D.C. Engagement Photography, Jefferson Memorial: Lexi and Devin
I met Lexi and Devin as part of a wedding workshop. They were models, who are actually a couple, chosen for our early morning Jefferson Memorial photoshoot. I instantly loved them. They were super stylish and incredibly cute together.

This Virginia Beach engagement is probably my favorite session so far. Granted, I am VERY biased since the lovely woman is my sister.
My sister is one of my best friends. There is no one else who understands our crazy family or gets every obscure Spongebob quote. Who remembers the turmoil of hearing Dad’s alarm clock in your dreams at five in the morning. I am so glad of our incredibly special relationship.
