It’s a warm spring day. A cute little family of four and I set out to take some spring family photos in Northern Virginia. Before the session, Melinda and I chatted about what her family likes to do together. Spending time at Morven Park was on the list.
It was a little gray with clouds overhead to start. We snapped some quick family portraits. Right as those ended, the sun peeked out and we took some father and son/mother daughter portraits. By this time, the kids were getting restless, which was totally fine because the rest of the session was dedicated to playing. That’s the beauty of lifestyle photography! Kids usually have a good 10 to 15 minutes in them for the family posed photos and with lifestyle photography that’s all you need. The rest of the session is dedicated to capturing candid moments (if you choose my one hour package).
